Botswana Cricket Association will run a Cricket Administrator Course for Cricket Regional Coordinators under the auspices of Botswana Primary Schools Sports Association (BOPSSA). This will be the inaugural training for Cricket coordinators who would be drawn from the 10 regions across the Country.

The Cricket Administrator Course (CAP Course) seeks to address the disparities in running cricket activities in schools, regions and the country, as a whole. The five module Course also seeks to equip the cricket administrators with the relevant information in Cricket Admin, Finance, running cricket clubs, public relations in Cricket and running community clubs.

It is Botswana Cricket Association’s endeavour to spread cricket knowledge across the country and help improve running cricket activities, at school level and club level, that supports the BCA’s mission to spread the game nationwide. It is paramount that proper Cricket Administration aid the smooth running of cricket and address the need to have quality administrators within the system.

The CAP Course is an International Cricket Association (ICC) accredited course and the modules are designed to meet the needs of different Cricket Associations across the spectrum.

The Course will run from the 27th February 2017 till the 1st of March at Francistown College of Education, TAP Department Conference Centre.

Participants are expected to use the gained knowledge and apply it in their respective areas to enhance cricket administration. Participants drawn from regions across the country, include male and female, who are currently involved in cricket in their respective areas. It is also hoped that the valuable information gained will be passed onto other teachers and volunteers within the cricket fraternity and respective communities.

The Course will be presented by Clement Chipanga, BCA Development Officer based in the North.
